New Delhi: The BJP held a 'Thank You Modi Ji' rally in Burari, north Delhi, where they praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the decisions to resume land mutation in rural villages and abolish the mandatory no objection certificates for power connections in certain parts of the city. Delhi BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva expressed gratitude for these moves, calling them a "Diwali gift" for residents in villages and unauthorized colonies. He mentioned that these long-pending issues were resolved after BJP MPs met with LG VK Saxena and requested his intervention. Sachdeva stated that the central government, led by Narendra Modi, responded promptly by eliminating the need for departmental NOCs for electricity connections in unauthorized colonies and non-conforming areas of Delhi. He also noted the reopening of property mutations in Delhi's villages after a gap of two decades. AAP, however, accused the BJP of falsely taking credit for the work done by the Delhi government and deceiving the public. At the rally, Sachdeva emphasized that due to prior restrictions, property transfers were hindered, but after their request, these restrictions were lifted. He also mentioned the removal of the need for DDA's NOC for electricity connections in unauthorized colonies. Sachdeva expressed confidence in BJP winning the upcoming polls in Delhi in February and highlighted the party's plans to extend electricity and water subsidies to middle-class households. The top priorities on the agenda include the implementation of the Prime Minister's housing initiative, Ayushman Bharat, and the regularization of temporary workers like home guards, bus marshals, and guest teachers. Sachdeva emphasized that no slum would be demolished without providing alternate housing under the BJP's administration. He also pledged to make the Yamuna pollution-free within a year through the Nirmal Yamuna Plan.
